10 Months!

Max Man you are getting so old. You're starting to develop such a little personality. You're still so smiley and we love to make you giggle. You've got a couple different laughs that knock our socks off. There's this inhale laugh you do that is just the best. When we put our hand up you have also started to give "high-fives." Also, when we wave hello to you you will give us a "wave" back.

You're getting pretty clever. When we put you down at night, you'll start to bawl right away, but within seconds of the door shutting you stop and go to sleep. When dad drops you off at day care you bawl the second he puts you down, but when he leaves the room and looks back inside he see's that you're already over it and you're smiling and playing with your buddies.

You're doing great at daycare. The sweet daycare ladies are always reporting that you had a great day, although you don't seem to like to nap a lot. One of your best buds is named Rylan. Sometimes when we pick you up, Rylan comes over to say goodbye to you. We're so excited to watch you develop friendships and meet your pals.

You've started eating solid "normal" foods. You love strawberries, bananas, cheese, and avocados. You tried pizza, but it may have been too spicy and made your belly hurt. It's so fun to see you trying new foods. You make a surprised/sour face every time you try something new. It's also very frightening that you're eating "normal" food. There's always a concern that you won't be able to handle getting it down, and then there's worry that you'll have trouble later digesting it.

You're starting to walk around using your walker. You're very proud of yourself for learning how to do this. On a couple of occasions you've stood up on your own for multiple seconds. It won't be long and you'll be taking your first steps.

You are our little explorer. You crawl around the house on a mission to explore everything that is not a toy. It is so cute but we always have to keep an eye on you! We know how much you love the night lights that are plugged in.

The Oscar & Max pic didn't work out so well this time.

February

For once, the shortest month of the year has actually felt like it. The weather was great. It was weird to see Wisconsin in February with no snow on the ground. We even had a few 70 degree days!

Fun at day care.

Going for a walk on a cold but sunny day.

Happy Valentine's Day

Gus's co-worker, Debbie, got Max this Valentine's Day bib and socks. Very sweet.

At the Badger basketball game. There's lots of sounds and sights for Max to take in. He' stays very entertained.
BATH TIME!!!!!

Not too sure about the model train show.

Watching a free magic show at "Kids in the Rotunda" at the Overture.

Future face melter.

Riding in the cart at the grocery.

January

January went by fast! Thankfully it was not extremely cold and there was very little snow by Wisconsin standards. The Packers made a deep playoff run, which made the weekends exciting. Aunt Sasse proved how big and crazy of a Packer fan she is. She drove up from Indy on a Sunday morning and her and Gus went to Lambeau to watch the Packers beat the Giants in the wild card round of the playoffs. She got in early enough to get some time in with Max man. It was quick turn around though and she had to leave early Monday morning.

It has been cold out which makes it tough to get outside a lot, but we've made the most of it.

Hanging out with Jack, watching Cooper puppy.

Brunch at Crema Cafe with Nana & Papa.

Rare occasion where Oscar warmed up to Max for a little bit.

Little climber. Too bad the Pack went down in the NFC Championship.

Cousins Eli & Maddie mailed Max some pictures they colored for him. Soon Max will be able to send them back pictures and letters.
