Sleep Eater
While we were in Indy, Max didn't nap on Saturday. Poor little guy didn't want the party to end. When we set him down for dinner the day caught up to him. Apparently Max's hidden talent is he can sleep and eat at the same time. His teachers at daycare have said this is a common occurrence.
Trip To Indy
We made a last minute trip to Indy at the beginning of August. We figured it would be our last chance to get to Indiana before hunkering down and waiting for the new one to get here.
It was a great weekend. All of the Small-side, except for the Nashville crew, was there. Max had a great time with everyone, especially his cousins. We felt like we hardly saw Max, he was so busy playing with everyone and all of Eli & Maddie's toys.
We got to see Eli & Maddie both play a soccer game. We also got to be there for Eli's 7th birthday pool party. Max really looks up to Eli (EL-I) and Maddie. He thinks he's they are the coolest.

Bucky!
In Madison this summer there are Bucky art installations all over town. They're Bucky Badger statues painted in different themes on each one. There are 85 total, and you come across them all over town. Every time we see one Max yells "Bucky" and has to go up to it and touch his nose.
Last Weeks As An Only Child
You have been the center of our world for the past 2 1/2 years. We expect sharing our attention with the new baby will probably be tough on you, but we know you're going to be just fine. You will be the best big brother. You've gotten to be such a funny, bright, sweet, and independent boy. We are having so much fun with you right now.
You are a little chatterbox. You can count to eleven and say your ABCs! You love to recite both all the time. You sing and scream it. You talk in full sentences and ask for things you want.
You started riding your strider bike and are doing so well with it. You ride it around the house and outside.
When we drop you off at daycare or say goodnight you always have to get a "hug and kiss". When you want us to pick you up you say "I want to hold you". When you see an American Flag you salute it and say "salute the flag".
We love putting you to bed in your car bed. We read 3-4 books, you ask for a hug and kiss, we say good night, sweet dreams and "applesauce", then you say bye bye. Your favorite books are 5 Little Monkeys Reading in Bed, all the Little Blue Truck books, Wocket In My Pocket, Goodnight Construction Site, and Cowboy Small. You ask for the books by name and you're starting to finish sentences while we read them.
You love planes and cars, especially Race Cars! You're building up a good car collection. You love to line up all your cars in a perfect line. You want to watch nothing but the Cars movies, you call them "line queen"(Lightning McQueen).
Your favorite foods are pancakes, doughnuts, peanut butter and "jolly" sandwiches.
Now we haven't updated since February so we'll being go back with the pictures.
